High Priority Youth Program

The High Priority Youth Program is designed to educate youth age 11-13 with life skills education to help them deal with their day to day life challenges and transition through adolescence with the ability to make informed healthy choices.


The focus is to help youth develop the 40 Developmental Assets identified by The Search Institute as building blocks of healthy development. They will be equipped with appropriate knowledge on risk taking behaviors and develop skills such as: 

  • communication

  • assertiveness

  • self-awareness 

  • decision-making

  • problem solving

  • critical and creative thinking

  • Community Excursions

  • Community Service Learning Projects

  • Graduation Party

  • Healthy Snacks

  • Development of essential life-skills through a continuous connected learning framework.
  • Development of both team player skills and leadership skills which will prepare them for the 21st Century career landscape.
  • Development of positive relationships with active community members to create a sense of belonging for youth in the community.

Participation in the High Priority Youth Program will empower young ladies to take responsibility for their own social health, providing both the skills and the knowledge necessary to make healthy life choices and strengthen their resilience.

Program is free for young ladies age 11-13  living in 44108, 44110, & 44119 and $25 per week for young ladies living outside the aforementioned zip codes. (Proof of Residence is Required)
Date & Time: 
Space is limited and registration is required to reserve a seat. Registration will begin February 24, 2020 and continue until March 23, 2020 unless all seats are reserved prior to the close of registration. Parent/guardian photo ID and participant's birth certificate are acceptable forms of documentation. Please bring a current bill in parent/guardian's name if address on photo ID is different from current address.
